Rare MADNESS band 1983 Geffen Promo Poster Compilation LP OUR HOUSE 8 Ball USA

Description

This is an original 1983 Record Store promotional poster for the brilliant UK Band MADNESS. The band never really hit it in the States until their breakthrough song OUR HOUSE became a top 10. The 1982 album The Rise & Fall the song originally appeared on, didn’t have distribution in the US. So, a compilation album going back to 1979 and sort of a greatest hits was released by Geffen records primarily for North America. This original poster celebrates that time period.
It measures about 35” x 23” and is in overall superb and clean condition, having never been hung. Comes from a smoke free environment. Will come rolled in a tube.
I added a few photos of my pilgrimage to Holts boot shop in Camden Town circa 1997. The boys used to rehearse above the shop in the early days. The Shop appears at the beginning of The Sun And The Rain video and other bits. Alan, the owner of the shop at the time took a liking to
the
boys and kind of looked after them
. They guys were loyal to him and the shop as well. You can see this poster hanging on the signing wall.
