Buy It Now!1958 Stackpole Potentiometer!
Up for sale is a
Vintage 1958 Fender/Stackpole 250K Ohm Potentiometer
for a
1957/58 Fender Telecaster, Duosonic, Steel Guitar, Mustang, Precision or Jazz Bass.
Many vintage Fender Potentiometers you see for sale on this platform have been opened and/or do not have the correct Fender Part Numbers. This is a Fender/Stackpole Vintage and Unmolested Pot which helps to maintain the vintage value of your guitar.
This Stackpole/Fender Telecaster pot is a 250K Ohm Audio pot and dates the
7
th
week of 1958
. It reads
215K Ohms
and is an Audio Taper Pot.
This date in 1958 will make this period correct for a
1957/58 but it will work in any Fender guitar, bass or steel of the late 1950’s to early 60’s that use a solid shaft
.
Pot manufacturers dated their pots up to 10 weeks in advance, so it is common in a Fender guitar to have pots that pre-date the year model, especially on their steel guitars.
This auction is for the Stackpole pot shown in the photos and comes with the vintage nut and lock washer. The numbers on the side of the pot are the correct
Fender Stackpole part number
304807
which denotes a
250K solid shaft
pot
, it has
250K AUD
and
304807 as can be seen in the pics
. This potentiometer looks & works great.
These vintage Fender guitars and parts are going up every day so if you need a nice pot to repair or complete your Vintage Fender Guitar, Bass or Steel Guitar or just want a spare pot this one will work great. This potentiometer reads a little above a 215K Ohms with a smooth sweep and no dead spots.
Pots of this era are well known for reading below the 250K rating. Potentiometer values go up as the carbon material wears over years of use. This pot operates smooth and will last for years and your guitar will work like it's supposed to or better. Everything looks really clean for a pot that is over 64 years old.
