How KYSOR panels are constructed?
KPS Global panels are constructed of two metal skins which sandwich a frame system and poured-in-place polyurethane foam. Panel frames can be wood or high-density foam and lock together with cam-locks insulated panel construction.
What type of foam are your panels made with?
Good question! At KPS Global, we use poured-in-place polyurethane foam. The urethane meets the ignition properties requirements of ASTM D-1929 and is CFC free. Many companies in industry use extruded polystyrene (XPS), but using closed cell polyurethane foam insulation provides not only superior performance and thermal R-value but also retains more of its thermal properties over time than extruded polystyrene.
